Oregon CALM (Counseling on Access to Lethal Means) assists health care and direct service providers in using Lethal Means Counseling with an informed, collaborative approach. Part of the Oregon Health Authority's Comprehensive Suicide Prevention Grant, it is approved for 6.5 CE's (Oregon NASW).

About the Event
This training is being hosted by Care Oregon and Samaritan Health; and offered as part of the Oregon Health Authority Comprehensive Suicide Prevention Grant from the CDC. This training meets the Oregon HB2315 legislative mandate for suicide-specific continuing education for all mental health and behavioral health roles. The discounted registration fee is $25, regularly $250.
Oregon CALM assists health care and direct service providers in using Lethal Means Counseling with an informed, collaborative, and respectful approach. It has been adapted from the National CALM curriculum to incorporate components of Addressing Firearm Safety with Patients at Risk of Suicide: A Couse for Healthcare Providers in Rural Areas and research with Oregon rural firearm owners.
