Health & Safety Precautions for Incite Agency for Change

Health & Safety Precautions

Last updated: May 8, 2026

Incite Agency for Change closely monitors COVID and other communicable infections, as well as public health safety recommendations and requirements from national, state, and local health authorities, and we continue to implement extensive safety measures for all in-person trainings and events. For participants’ and trainers’ safety, we are implementing several health and safety measures to limit the spread of all illness.

Your compliance will be a condition of daily admission to and participation in the training or event. Please read them in their entirety.

Please do not attend if…
  • You are experiencing ANY signs or symptoms of illness. This may include, but is not limited to fever (above 99⁰ F), cough, congestion or sneezing, sore or scratchy throat, headache, nausea or vomiting, diarrhea, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, and muscle or body aches.

  • You have been in close contact with anyone you know had COVID-19 or flu-like symptoms within the past 7 days.

  • You have tested positive, were diagnosed with, or awaiting results for a COVID-19, Influenza, RSV, or Strep test within the past 7 days.
Safety Measures

  • We ask about health status during check-in for every event. If you present with any signs or symptoms of illness, you will kindly be asked to reschedule.

  • Masks are available but not required at this time.

  • Please wash hands and use hand sanitizer frequently including upon arrival; before and after eating or drinking; before and after breaks; after blowing your nose, coughing, or sneezing; and after using the restroom.
  • Some activities may be modified to limit contact with shared items and maintain distance, if necessary.
  • Thank you for your flexibility and cooperation!
Sound Bath Safety Precautions
Sound bath therapy is gentle and safe for most people, but certain conditions require caution or medical consultation before participating. Please review the below special considerations for sound-triggered epilepsy, first trimester pregnancy, cochlear implants and inner ear hardware, severe PTSD or recent trauma, and active psychosis.
By registering for and attending an Incite Sound Bath, you affirm that you are physically and mentally capable of participating, and that you will consult a healthcare professional regarding any medical concerns prior to participation.
  • Sound-triggered epilepsy. Rhythmic auditory stimulation can trigger seizures in people with this specific form of epilepsy. If you have any history of sound-sensitive seizure disorders, please consult with your neurologist before attending.

  • First trimester of pregnancy. While no studies indicate harm, many practitioners recommend avoiding sound baths during the first trimester as a precaution. The powerful vibrations can be intense. After the first trimester, lighter sound baths using only crystal bowls (without gongs, which we do not use) are generally considered safe.

  • Certain metal implants. Cochlear implants and some types of inner ear hardware can resonate unpredictably with strong acoustic vibrations. Consult your audiologist or surgeon before attending if you have any implanted devices near your ears.

  • Severe PTSD or recent trauma. While sound baths can be therapeutic in a controlled, one-on-one setting with a trauma-informed practitioner, a group sound bath may not provide adequate support for intense emotional processing. If you have active PTSD, consider starting with private sessions.

  • Acute psychotic episodes. People experiencing active psychosis should avoid sound baths, as an altered state of consciousness can worsen symptoms of dissociation.

Participants assume full responsibility for their health and well-being during and after the event.
